Mitsubishi Electric’s Eric Dubin Appointed to NEEP Board of Directors

We are delighted to announce one of our own, Eric Dubin, senior director of Utilities and Performance Construction was recently added to the Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP) Board of Directors.

NEEP is a non-profit that accelerates energy efficiency in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. Funded in part by the U.S. Department of Energy, it is one of six Regional Energy Efficiency Organizations (REEOs) that are tasked with developing clean energy strategies to build an affordable, sustainable and resilient regional energy system.

Eric is one of two new inductees to the board. Janet Joseph, senior vice president for Strategy and Market Development at the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is also a new member. Their first board meeting will be held in Spring 2018.

“Both Janet and Eric are experienced in creating public-private partnerships to advance efficiency as a cornerstone of the clean energy transition that our region is leading,” NEEP Board President Scott Johnstone said of the pair. “Eric brings broad industry knowledge and relationships essential to keep the Northeast on the cutting edge of advanced solutions in today’s rapidly changing energy landscape,” Johnstone added.

Since joining Mitsubishi Electric in 2011, Eric has worked at the forefront of energy efficiency and carbon reduction policy, related to the electrification of residential and commercial buildings. He leads a national team of utility program managers who work with the nation’s electric utilities to create and communicate positive air source heat pump policies.

Previously, Eric spent 15 years at National Grid, working in a variety of roles related to energy efficiency, engineering, sales and project management. He also was director of government and regulatory affairs at Climate Energy, where he helped developed efficient energy policy.
