Mitsubishi Electric Cooling and Heating Systems Selected for The New American Home® 2018!

The Leading Suppliers Council of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) selected a multi-zone cooling and heating system from Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating to be included in The New American Home 2018® (TNAH).

TNAH showcases residential building and architecture best practices including innovative design concepts, state-of-the-art products and the latest construction techniques. This year’s home is a 6,600 square-foot, Tuscan style, two-story residence located in the Bella Collina golf community in Monteverde, Florida.

All of the suppliers selected for TNAH 2018 focus on energy efficiency and sustainability. Mitsubishi Electric’s Zoned Comfort Solutions™ was selected because zoning technology can maximize efficiency and savings for the cooling and heating needs of homes of all sizes. TNAH 2018 has nine separately controlled zones, which can be easily managed via iPad, and features several different indoor and outdoor unit options, including:

Currently, TNAH 2018 has a proposed Home Energy Rating System index of 46 and is expected to be 36 percent more efficient than the average new home. The home is targeted to be certified in the EPA’s ENERGY STAR® and Indoor airPLUS programs, and is expected to qualify as a U.S. Department of Energy Zero Energy Ready Home.
