WSB-TV, serving the Atlanta area as the ABC affiliate, featured Mitsubishi Electric’s residential ductless systems during a Clark Howard segment on Monday, March 19.
The segment features Steve O’Brien, senior vice president of sales, marketing and supply chain management for Mitsubishi Electric. O’Brien, who uses ductless technology in his own home, explained the cost- and energy-saving benefits of using this technology in a home.
O’Brien’s main points included:
- Ductless systems help save energy that would traditionally be lost through ductwork.
- Ductless systems utilize variable speed operation in which the compressor slows down and speeds up to keep a comfortable indoor
- Ductless systems’ high efficiencies use only a third of the energy traditional HVAC systems use.
Clark Howard is a consumer advocate who reports for WSB-TV and hosts a syndicated radio show airing on 200 stations nationwide. The segment will also appear on COX Media stations across the country.
