On Lake Champlain in Burlington, Vermont, sits the new 2017 DIY Network Ultimate Retreat, a wooded ranch-style home that offers incredible lakeside views and superior personalized comfort. This year, the DIY Network renovated an outdated 1960s two-bedroom, two-bath home into a tranquil yet sophisticated getaway. After filling the home with a mix of contemporary and vintage elements, licensed contractor and DIY Network star Jason Cameron created a vacation home that expresses a traditional atmosphere with a modern edge.

The project team selected our Zoned Comfort Solutions™, featuring our Hyper-Heating INVERTER® technology, to give the occupants comfort throughout every square foot of the house. They took advantage of our ductless and ducted units, and were able to match an ideal style for each room. Styles included our wall- and floor-mounted, ceiling-cassette and the multi-position ducted air handler. The project team also selected our programmable controller app, kumo cloud™, to provide the homeowner reliable personalized comfort in any kind of weather.

Now with tremendous energy efficiency and custom comfort, this retrofitted home is relaxing all year long. To read more about our cooling and heating technology in the Ultimate Retreat, check out our dedicated website to the project.

To watch the renovation process, check out the DIY Network every Monday night in August at 8:00 p.m. ET on. The renovation will start with the kitchen and family room, followed by the master bedroom and exterior. The whole-house renovation will air on Mon., Aug. 28 at 8:00 p.m. ET. You can also read about it in the September issue of HGTV magazine.
